Sealed roof deck
The seams in the roof deck get sealed, so if shingles blow off, water stays out.
Fortified certified
A Fortified roof is built to a stronger standard than code, set by the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS), and checked by an independent evaluator. J.R.B. is Fortified certified, so we can build one on your home.

What makes it Fortified
The seams in the roof deck get sealed, so if shingles blow off, water stays out.
Nails with rings on the shank grip the deck and resist pulling out in high wind.
Stronger edge metal and fastening at the eaves and rakes, where wind lifts a roof first.
In hail country, the shingles are rated to take hail hits.
An independent evaluator inspects the work, and your home gets a Fortified certificate.
Colorado grants
Colorado passed Senate Bill 26-155 in 2026 to create grants that help homeowners pay for hail-resistant roofs on their own homes. The program is paid for by a small fee on homeowners insurance, with funding starting in 2027. Awards are set to be prioritized by things like income, roof age, home size, and weather risk.
Compared to a normal roof, a Fortified roof usually adds about $3,000 to $10,000, depending on the size and shape of your roof. The grants are meant to help cover that upgrade.
The details are still being set. Check the box on the form below and we'll let you know when applications open. Since we're already certified, you'll be ready on day one.
